About these terms

This website is run by CELLA Medical, the medical practice of Dr Chloe Carew MD FRACP (Ahpra MED0002229014), Shop 6, 480 Riversdale Rd, Hawthorn East VIC 3123. By using it, you agree to these terms. We may update them from time to time, and the date above shows when they last changed.

General information, not medical advice

The information on this website is general. It does not take your health or circumstances into account, is not a substitute for a consultation, and does not create a doctor and patient relationship. Results vary from person to person. Please speak with your doctor before making decisions about your health.

Urgent and emergency care

CELLA Medical does not provide emergency or urgent care. In an emergency, call 000. For an urgent concern, contact your GP, an after hours service, or your nearest emergency department, or call healthdirect on 1800 022 222.

Our enquiry form, email and social media are not monitored around the clock, so please do not use them for anything urgent.

Who we see

CELLA sees adults aged 18 and over, for every appointment. This website is intended for adults.

Appointments

You can request an appointment online through Halaxy, our practice system, or by contacting us. Your appointment is confirmed once we accept your request. Every consultation is with Dr Carew. Treatment is carried out by Dr Carew or, where appropriate, by a registered nurse who works with her. If a nurse is to treat you, Dr Carew will discuss this with you first.

Moving or cancelling. You can move or cancel at no charge with 24 hours notice or more. With less than 24 hours notice, 50% of the appointment cost applies. If you do not attend, the full cost applies. We will always contact you before any charge is made.

Paying for your appointment. Your card details are held by Halaxy, our practice system, and charged on the day of your visit, or under the terms for moving or cancelling. You can also pay by cash on the day. If you would prefer not to leave card details, email hello@cellamedical.com.au and we will arrange your booking.

Costs

Consultation costs are listed on our Services page and may change from time to time. The cost that applies is the one shown when you make your appointment.

Tests are by referral and are billed separately by the providers who perform them. Treatment costs are given to you in writing at your consultation, before you decide.
